just another typical weekend, nothing overly exciting happened (unless you are a shopaholic like me)
friday night, Sean and i went to Campagne for dinner (yum!) and then headed off to see Love Actually at Pacific Place. I thought the movie was so good - really really sad in some parts and really happy sweet in others. It's the kind of chick flick that I could totally watch over and over again on DVD. I was SO mad at the (professor snape alan rickman character) guy for cheating on his wife. The whole time i was hoping that the necklace on Mia was a coincidence - that he actually had bought the necklace for his wife and she (by chance) had bought herself the same one. But that's just me being naive and hopeful that commitment and love would prevail over lust.
anyway, sat morning we had breakfast/lunch at coastal kitchen before i headed off to shop shop shop with Ali. Walter conveniently happened to plan his shopping at the same time. Anyway, thanks Pekkle for helping in my shopping problem - that 30% off at Kenneth Cole coupon definitely came in handy. Woohoo white pants for winter! (gasp!) and some new winter skirts. We actually didn't go to too many stores, but the combined effort was pretty substantial. Walter is well on his way to being a metrosexual. After shopping, we all went to wasabi for some sushi action (walter's payment for the clothing advice from me and ali). Ali and I totally pigged out with lots of rolls & sushi and then dessert.
sunday was brunch (as usual) - though I'm still extremely upset they got rid of the daily special baguette sandwich and replaced it with a permanent menu item - the pate baguette. like barf. Sean and I spent the afternoon getting house-related stuff and going to all the home-type stores at UVillage (Crate&Barrel, Pottery Barn et. al). Did you know there's now a Kiehl's there? They got a bunch of my money too for face stuff for me and Sean.
I have come to the realization that I am going to have to work for the rest of my life to maintain the kind of lifestyle I want to live. I am a self sufficient brat.
